The Molecular Cytogenetics Core (MCC) was established to give Genetics Branch investigators, as well as other NCI investigators, access and technical support in the methods of advanced molecular cytogenetics. The MCC assists in the design and conduction of experiments, and provides technical help and training for such fluorescent microscopy techniques as human and mouse spectral karyotyping (SKY), FISH of interphase nuclei and metaphase chromosomes.
