My clinical and research interests are in the treatment of esophageal cancer. We are evaluating the effects of environmental exposure of esophageal adenocarcinoma to determine whether epigenetic and metabolomic targets can be identified. Specifically, the efforts will focus on the activation of oncogenes and the silencing of tumor suppressors by environmental stimuli that promote tumor growth and treatment resistance.
