James D. McDonald, M.D.
James D. McDonald, M.D., is a graduate of the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor of Science and Education in 2008 where he majored in exercise physiology. He completed his medical training at the University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center in Memphis, Tennessee in 2015. Additionally, he has completed three years of general surgery training at the University of South Florida and is currently a Surgical Oncology Research Fellow in the Surgical Oncology Program at the National Cancer Institute. Dr. McDonald is researching and developing alternative models for cancer biology and cancer therapies, focusing specifically on ex vivo tissue perfusion and models for metastasis.
