Imani Alexander is a postbaccalaureate fellow from Birmingham, AL. She received her bachelor’s degrees from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in neuroscience and molecular biology. As an undergraduate, Imani investigated the tumor suppressive potential of microRNA-31 in glioblastomas. Currently, Imani is investigating the role of RNF10 in metastasis of gastrointestinal tumors. Upon completing her time at the NCI as a postbaccalaureate fellow, Imani plans to enroll in a medical scientist training program, with a research focus in cancer biology.
