Dr. Luo received both her bachelor and master's degree in biochemistry and molecular biology from Wuhan University, Wuhan, China. She received her Ph.D. in biology in 2000 at the Graduate School and University Center of the City University of New York. She joined Dr. Paul Randazzo's lab as postdoctoral fellow in 2004 and was appointed staff scientist in the Laboratory of Cellular Molecular Biology in 2009.
