Full time positions are available for Research Nurses and Physician Extenders as part of teams conducting clinical research at the NIH Clinical Research Center, the largest dedicated research hospital in the world located in Bethesda, Maryland. This is a 200-bed, federally funded hospital offering a full range of inpatient and outpatient health care services, with specialized expertise in developing and carrying out clinical research trials in oncology and other diseases. Selected candidates receive full benefits and competitive pay. Requires no regular evening, shift or weekend work.
Research Nurse Positions
- Must have 3-5 years recent nursing experience for research nurse positions, preferably with some oncology experience
- Must possess a degree or diploma from a professional nursing program approved by a legally designated State accrediting agency at the time the program was completed.
- Must be currently licensed as a registered nurse (RN)
Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant Positions
- Must possess a degree or diploma from a professional physician assistant program approved by a legally designated State accrediting agency at the time the program was completed.
- Must have a current certification as a nurse practitioner or physician assistant.
- Must be currently licensed as a physician assistant through the Maryland Board of Physicians
Both
- General knowledge of clinical trials or pharmaceutical projects, and protocol implementation preferred.
