RESEARCH SUMMARY

GeGe Clements is a post-baccalaureate cancer researcher training fellow (CRTA) in the Laboratory of Cancer Biology and Genetics. She received her B.A. in Biological Sciences from Vanderbilt University in December 2020 and joined the Merlino Laboratory in July 2021. Her research focuses on elucidating the mechanisms responsible for acquired resistance to targeted therapies during the treatment of BRAF-mutant melanoma. Her major goal remains to provide recommendations for new therapeutic alternatives that will reduce the metastatic burden and improve cancer outcomes.
