Clinical trial combines drugs with or without Celecoxib to reactivate genes in lung metastases

Lung cancer metastasis.

Most patients who have had surgery for cancer that has spread to the lungs later acquire drug resistance due to DNA changes in the cancer cells. A clinical trial led by surgeon-researcher David Schrump of CCR’s Thoracic and Gastrointestinal Oncology Branch will test a combination of drugs to see if genes can be reactivated.  View more information about this trial.
