A postdoctoral position in cellular and molecular immunology is available in the lab of Dr. Chuan Wu, Experimental Immunology Branch, National Cancer Institute in Bethesda, Maryland. The laboratory's research interest focuses on the role of intestinal neuroimmune interactions in health and disease. Specifically, we seek to study cytokine regulation of intestinal peristalsis, reciprocal regulation of colonic Treg cells and enteric neuron, and human enteric neuron system lineages for cell therapy and drug discovery in humanized colitis model. Candidates should have a Ph.D, M.D., or equivalent degree, less than 4 years of postdoctoral experience, and expertise in immunology, neuroscience, cell biology, biochemistry, or molecular biology. The candidate should have excellent writing and communication skills. This position is subject to a background investigation.
