Postdoctoral Fellow - structural biology
structural biology, molecular machines, signaling
A postdoctoral position is currently available in a research program focused on mechanisms of targeted protein degradation and quality control. These studies apply state-of-the-art methods to define structure/function relationships of molecular machines and signaling pathways. Further details and a list of relevant publications can be found at https://ccr.cancer.gov/Structural-Biophysics-Laboratory/kylie-j-walters.
Interested candidates must have a Ph.D. and less than 2 years of postdoctoral experience. Applicants must have a strong background in molecular and structural biology. Experience in sample preparation for structural biology applications is required. Also required is expertise in a major structural biology method, such as cryoelectron microscopy, X-ray crystallography or NMR spectrometry.
The stipend starts at $54,100, commensurate with experience. This is a time-limited, renewable appointment, and the position is subject to a background investigation. The NIH is dedicated to building a diverse community in its training and employment programs.
