Position Description: 

The Center for Cancer Research (CCR) is working to solve the most pressing problems in the field through basic, translational and clinical cancer research to create the cancer medicines of tomorrow and is dedicated to preparing the next generation of cancer researchers. The NCI CCR is dedicated to preparing the next generation of cancer researchers and offers a training environment that is second-to-none in quality of science and mentoring by outstanding principal investigators, including nine members of the National Academy of Science and eight members of the National Academy of Medicine. A postdoctoral position is available in 2020 to study the role of Eph receptors, ephrin ligands, and Wnt signaling pathways in cell movement and morphogenesis (e.g. Lee et al., J. Cell Biol. 218:2659-2676, 2019; Yoon et al., Nature Comm. 9:3491, 2018; Cho et al., Oncogene 37:861-872, 2018). A combination of molecular, cell biological, and biochemical techniques are applied in the amphibian developmental and mammalian culture systems. Experience Required: 

A strong background in molecular, cellular, or developmental biology is required. Interested candidates should have a Ph.D. and/or an M.D. and have less than 5 years postdoctoral experience.
