Postdoctoral Fellow- bioinformatics, epigenomics

Staff Name:
Sridhar Hannenhalli, Ph.D.
Cancer Data Science Laboratory
Research Area Keywords:

bioinformatics, transcriptional regulation, epigenomics

Position Description:

Bioinformatics Postdoctoral researcher positions are available in the laboratory of Sridhar Hannenhalli at the Center for Cancer Research (CCR), National Cancer Institute (NCI), National Institutes of Health (NIH). We are broadly interested in gene regulatory mechanisms and evolution, with special focus on eukaryotic transcriptional regulation. We harness a variety of high-throughput omics data to address fundamental biological questions as they pertain to both normal organismal functions, as well as diseases, with a special emphasis on cancer. The work involves both methodological development as well as collaborative basic science and clinical applications. The Hannenhalli Lab is part of the CCR Cancer Data Science Laboratory, a new initiative dedicated to translational omics research and tightly integrated with massive national projects at NCI. As part of a large integrated collaborative branch, the candidates will have ample opportunity for training, collaboration, and mentorship. For more information, please visit our lab homepage.
