Postbaccalaureate Fellow - Gastric Cancer
Hereditary gastric cancer, Cancer metastasis, Gastric carcinogenesis
2-year post-baccalaureate position in the Surgical Oncology Program, Center for Cancer Research, National Cancer Institute. Candidates will work closely with the principal investigator and surgical oncology research fellows. The laboratory’s focus is gastric cancer initiation and metastasis, with a focus on hereditary gastric cancers caused by pathogenic CDH1 germline mutation.
Post-baccalaureate candidates with interest in basic and translational cancer research will be considered. Candidates should have undergraduate training in the natural sciences or have laboratory experience. A background or specific interest in managing clinical datasets, analyzing genomic data, gene sequencing, and/or cell culture techniques should apply. Additional experience with tissue procurement and processing (i.e. human tissue and blood) will be considered favorably.
