Job Description:

Position is with:

Postdoctoral fellow positions are available in the laboratory of Dr. Travis Stracker in the Radiation Oncology Branch at the Center for Cancer Research (CCR), National Cancer Institute (NCI), National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Bethesda, Maryland. The major focus of the lab is to understand DNA damage induced signaling in cancer and identify targetable vulnerabilities that can be used in therapy. The lab will take multiple approaches, ranging from genome-wide CRISR/Cas9 screening, quantitative proteomics and imaging based screening to identify and validate new cancer targets.

 

Qualifications and Job Details:

  • Degree Required:
    • Ph.D. or equivalent
    • B.S./B.A. or equivalent
  • Location: Bethesda, Maryland
  • Appointment Type: Training Position
  • Work Schedule: Full-time position
  • Citizenship: US Citizenship not required - (ie, permanent resident, visa)
  • Stipend: Commensurate with experience

REQUIRED SKILLS: Applicants must have expertise in molecular biology, cell biology, genetics, biochemistry and tissue culture. International applicants eligible for valid employment authorization visas are welcome to apply.

PREFERRED SKILLS: Experience with mouse cancer models, use of viral vectors, CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing, high throughput sequencing and bioinformatics is a plus.
