Job Description
The National Cancer Institute (NCI), Center for Cancer Research (CCR) is seeking a clinical geneticist for our Clinical Cancer Genetics Program in the Genetics Branch. The candidate will work with a team of physicians, scientists, nurses, and genetic counselors in the Genetics Branch and investigators from throughout CCR in the NIH Clinical Center in Bethesda, MD. Successful candidates will have clinical, research, and teaching responsibilities.
The positions are available immediately. Applicants must have: a current license to practice medicine (MD, DO); completed an ACGME-accredited pediatrics and/or medical genetics residency program; and be board certified or eligible in Clinical Genetics and Genomics by the American Board of Medical Genetics and Genomics. Experience of 2-5 years in genetics/genomics and/or cancer genomics is preferred. Salary is commensurate with prior experience.

Applicants must be familiar with the principles and practice of genetics and genomics in clinical oncology, including but not limited to germline incidental/secondary findings from somatic testing, cancer risk syndromes, cancer predisposition genes, and germline variant interpretation. We are seeking people with knowledge and familiarity with state-of-the-art diagnostic testing in genetics/genomics who have an interest in working in a research environment.
