Biography

Dr. Virador holds a Chemistry degree from Universidad de Madrid and a PhD from University of California. She studied mechanisms of melanogenesis and skin function with Drs. Hearing and Yuspa. Currently a Scientist of the Medical Oncology Branch (NIH), she has contributed to the understanding of cellular communication in the skin, discovered adult stem cells in mouse dermis and analyzed secreted growth factors in cancer cells. Current interests include chaperones in neuromuscular development
