Biography
Dr. Robert Shroff obtained his Ph.D. in genetics from the University of Adelaide, South Australia in 1998. He joined the Microbial Genetics and Biochemistry Section, Laboratory of Biochemistry in the NCI as a Visiting Fellow in 1998, became a Research Fellow in 2003 and Staff Scientist 2005, working with the Deputy Lab Chief and Section Head, Dr. Michael Lichten.Research
The particular expertise that I have developed is in the study of mechanisms of the recuitment of recombination, repair, and damage response proteins to meiotic recombination hotspots and to sites of DNA damage, using both site-directed and whole-genome approaches.
