Biography

Dr. Wang completed his Ph.D. training at Karolinska Institute, Sweden. He did his postdoctoral work in Samuel Lunenfeld Research Institute, Mount Sinai Hospital, Toronto. In 2002, he was recruited as a senior research staff in Systems Genetics Section, Biosciences Division of Oak Ridge National Laboratory and an adjunct assistant professor in the Graduate School of Genome Science of University of Tennessee. In November 2009, Dr. Wang joined Medical Oncology Branch/CCR/NCI. His current research focuses on the investigation of thoracic malignancies including genome-wide genetic and molecular characterization of lung cancers and thymic epithelial tumors, with particular interest to the pre-clinical identification and mechanistic investigation of novel molecular targets for thoracic cancer diagnosis and target specific therapeutics.
