Biography

Dr. Kreisl earned her B.S. in economics from the University of Pennsylvania in 1996. In 2001, she completed medical school in New York at the Weill Medical College of Cornell University. She spent her intern year and 3 years of neurology residency at New York Presbyterian Hospital, where she was Chief Resident 2004-2005. Subsequently, she trained in neuro-oncology as a clinical fellow at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, where she served as Chief Fellow 2006-2007. Dr. Kreisl joined the Neuro-Oncology Branch (NOB) in July 2007, focusing on the investigation of novel adult therapeutics for patients with gliomas through her role as Principal and Associate Investigator for several clinical trials conducted within NOB. Her research interests also include studying molecular imaging biomarkers of tumor and blood-brain-barrier physiology. Dr. Kreisl is also the Fellowship Director for the program.
