Biography

Dr. Stuelten obtained her PhD (1996) and her MD (1999) at the University of Tuebingen, Germany. Following clinical training in surgery (1999-2001) and laboratory medicine (2001-2003), she trained as a postdoctoral fellow in the Laboratory of Cell Regulation (2003-2006), National Cancer Institute, Bethesda, and continued her research on the role of TGF-beta in tumor-stroma interactions and cell differentiation in the Cell and Cancer Biology Branch. Dr. Stuelten joined the Laboratory of Cellular and Molecular Biology as a staff scientist in 2011 where she works on the regulation of cell migration and metastasis.
