Our Science – Hall Website
Matthew D. Hall, Ph.D.
Kyle is a native of Ohio, earned his undergrad degree at the University of Miami (Ohio!), spent a year in the Ladd lab at the Cleveland Clinic before entering the JHU/NCI Masters of Biotechnology program (2007-2009). Kyle developed our 'red/green' MDR high-throughput screen, acd now treads the boards at nearby NCATS - we are still collaborating on the HTS!!!
Julie epitomizes the theory that if you work for Matt, you'll go on to achieve more than Matt. Julie earned her undergrad degree at the University of Oklahoma, and spent a summer in our lab (2009). In the lab, she worked on MDR1-selective thiosemicarbazones (the 'magic project'). After undergrad, Julie spent two years at the Schulman lab at St. Jude's in Memphis, and is now slogging through a PhD at MIT. Julie likes rollercoasters.
Travis is a native of Montana, and earned his undergrad degree at the University of Montana. Ever the sucker for punishment, Travis spent TWO summers in our lab (2011 and 2012). In the lab, he worked on the MDR-selective mechanism of tiopronin. Travis has just started his medical degree at "Ewe Dub" in Seattle. Don't pick a fight with Travis - he is a martial arts expert!
