RESEARCH SUMMARY

Meagan Jezek is a postdoctoral fellow in the lab of Efsun Arda at the Laboratory of Receptor Biology and Gene Expression at the National Cancer Institute. She received her PhD in Biological Sciences from the University of Maryland Baltimore County in 2021, where she studied mechanisms of chromatin regulation and telomere biology in the model organism Saccharomyces cerevisiae. In the Arda lab, she will be investigating the enhancer sequences of human pancreatic cells to identify how they regulate gene expression and contribute to cell identity.
