The Structural Biophysics Laboratory (SBL) is a multi-disciplinary laboratory that strives to understand the function and mechanism of action of proteins and nucleic acids in the biological processes associated with cancer biology. Currently, the main structural technique is nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy, and the groups are also active in the use of small angle scattering methods (SAXS and SANS) and a variety of biophysical methods (mass-spectroscopy, calorimetry, light scattering, molecular spectroscopy, surface plasmon resonance (SPR)). The groups are engaged in both advancing the state-of-the-art methodology in these areas and applying them in an integrated cooperation with biologists within the CCR.
