Support for Fellows
The NCI Center for Cancer Research provides a variety of support to fellows through
the Fellows and Young Investigators (FYI) Association, which
organizes and promotes educational activities, identifies potential employment opportunities,
organizes an annual colloquium for postdocs, helps orient new trainees, and fosters
communications among CCR fellows.

This year, the 10th Annual CCR FYI colloquium was held March 17-19, 2010 at Hershey
Lodge, Hershey, PA.
FYI Newsletter
Fellows Seminar Series – includes PASS (Presentation and
Seminar Skills) and the Frederick National Lab Postdoc Seminar Series.
Fellows Editorial Board – a free, confidential scientific
document editing service for postdoctoral fellows.
Educational Opportunities
Courses and Workshops – A number of courses and workshops
are offered by CCR and NIH throughout the year to enhance your skills and career
opportunities.
FAES Graduate School at NIH – The FAES (Foundation for Advanced
Education in the Sciences) Graduate School at NIH offers nearly 200 courses each
year at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. FAES courses are certified by
the Maryland Higher Education Commission and accepted for credit at most universities.
The FAES Graduate School operates with the approval of the Maryland Higher Education
Commission. Courses are open to members of the NIH community, other federal employees
and the general public.
Classes and workshops are also offered by Frederick National Lab, SAIC-Frederick and Fort Detrick.
