Macromolecular NMR Section
Experimental Approach
- Solution NMR spectroscopy
- Other biophysical tools
We routinely utilize an array of biophysical tools, available within the Structural
Biophysics Laboratory and the Frederick National Lab campus whenever necessary. These tools
include but not limited to mass spec, calorimeters, light scattering, ultra-centrifugation,
CD and various UV- and IR spectrometers. Please see the resources of our Biophysical Resource within the SBL.
- Small Angle X-ray Scattering and Pulse EPR:We utilize SAXS data for examining
topologies of proteins and protein:protein complexes. SBL manages access to the
SAXS data collection beamline at the Argonne National Laboratory APS. This effort
is overseen by Dr. Yun-Xing Wang, SBL, who is a leader in the development and application
of this technology in the structural biology of RNA and proteins.
