CCR Molecular Discovery ProgramCCR announces the creation of the new Molecular Discovery Program (MDP), to be located at NCI-Frederick. This Program is designed to promote an integrated approach to molecular discovery within CCR and to facilitate the interface between CCR investigators with the Division of Cancer Treatment and Diagnosis' nascent Chemical Biology Consortium. Organizationally, the MDP will include the Structural Biophysics Laboratory (SBL), the Molecular Targets Development Program, and the new Chemical Biology Laboratory (CBL), and will capitalize on the contributions and strengths of numerous other laboratories and programs from across the CCR.
Dr. Andrew Byrd, who has played a prominent role in the conception of this Program, will serve as Acting Director of the MDP, in addition to continuing as Chief of the SBL.
