Position Description: Up to 2 research positions are available to investigate the molecular mechanisms responsible for the interplay of tumor and host in the metastatic process, particularly the roles of the inflammatory tumor microenvironment in distant metastatic colony formation. The candidates will utilize a multi-disciplinary approach combining molecular, biochemical, genetic, cellular techniques and mouse models. Our laboratory is located on the NIH Bethesda, Maryland campus, which has a state-of-the-art research platform.
Experience Required: These positions are at a high-level of responsibility and candidates must possess: 1) Ability to perform research work and implement scientific projects, conceptually and experimentally, with a pro-active thinking and consistency; 2) An inner motivation to succeed in a focused scientific environment; 3) An impeccable work ethic and scientific integrity. Interested candidates must have a Ph.D. or MD/PhD within the past five years. A good publication record and communication skills are required.
