A fully-funded postdoctoral position is available to study oncogenic kinase signaling in glioblastoma at the National Cancer Institute on the NIH main campus in Bethesda, MD. Specifically, this opening is for an ongoing project examining the role of cell-cell contact and mechanotransduction in the response to therapeutic tyrosine kinase inhibitors, using glioblastoma as a model system.
Techniques to be used include tumor stem cell culture, orthotopic murine brain tumor modeling, microscopy, standard molecular biology protocols, and bioinformatics. Funding and benefits will be provided by the NIH, though extramural fellowship applications will be strongly encouraged and supported.
