A highly motivated postdoctoral fellow is sought to work on tumor immunology with a strong background in flow cytometry, cellular immunology, and tumor biology. The laboratory is identifying novel tumor immune therapies that synergize with radiation, and discovering novel mechanisms and biomarkers of effective immune responses to tumor immunotherapies and vaccines, in general.
This work is part of the tumor immunology group affiliated with Jay Berzofsky's lab in the Vaccine Branch. The postdoctoral fellow will work on a project to identify immunosuppressive and immunostimulatory subsets of exosomes and micro particles. Most of the studies focus on the discovery of new principles through mouse-based work, along with exploratory studies for translating discoveries into the clinics. The postdoctoral fellow in this position will have numerous opportunities to gain knowledge of radiation biology, tumor immunology, HIV/mucosal immunology, and cutting edge flow cytometry by interacting with affiliated members and principal investigators.
|Experience Required:||Applicants must have Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree and relevant laboratory experience, but fewer than 5 years postdoctoral training.|
