Teaching in Medical Education (TIME)

Overview:
Many postdoctoral fellows are considering an academic career at a medical school. In addition to conducting research, new faculty members need to learn effective teaching methodologies. This course will focus on good teaching practices, including basic strategies for developing and organizing a course.

The purpose of this course is to increase the scientist’s ability to teach in medical education. The course will provide basic knowledge in teaching methods, course planning, writing a syllabus and developing examinations.

Location and Time: The course will be held in Bethesda and Frederick.

Related Training: This course is part of a developing curriculum for training NCI clinical and postdoctoral fellows.
