About CCR – For Our Visitors

Visiting the CCR

Most of CCR’s scientists and clinicians work on the two NCI campuses located in Bethesda and Frederick, Maryland. Several CCR groups are also located at the NCI Advanced Technology Center (ATC) on the campus of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) in Gaithersburg, Maryland. Additional NCI-CCR offices are located in Rockville, Maryland.

NIH Main Campus, Bethesda, MD

The senior management offices of the National Cancer Institute (NCI), along with 33 CCR laboratories, branches, and programs are located on the National Institutes of Health (NIH) main campus in Bethesda, MD. Driving directions, maps, parking, public transportation, and visitor security information can be found at NIH Visitor Information.

Cancer Clinical Trials at the NIH Clinical Center – All of CCR’s clinical trials are conducted on the Bethesda campus, within the NIH Clinical Center. For information on CCR’s current clinical trials, including how to enroll in a clinical trial and how to search for clinical trials, visit Clinical Trials at NIH. Frederick National Lab Campus, Frederick, MD

The Frederick National Laboratory for Cancer Research is located within the Fort Detrick Army Garrison in Frederick, MD. Visitor security information, driving directions (from Baltimore, Washington, DC, and Northern Virginia), local area map, and a campus map are available on the Visitor's Guide page of the Frederick National Lab Web site.

Frederick-Bethesda Shuttle Service – A shuttle service is available to take visitors to/from the Frederick and Bethesda campuses four (4) times daily, with the first run starting from the Frederick campus at 7:00 am. To view the schedule, visit Frederickā€“Bethesda shuttle.

Other Locations

NCI Advanced Technology Center, Gaithersburg, MD – The NCI Advanced Technology Center (ATC) is located on the campus of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) in Gaithersburg, MD. The ATC houses the Core Genotyping Facility (CGF) and the Microarray Center. Driving directions and a map are available at CGF Facilities / Location.

Executive Boulevard, Rockville, MD – NCI also maintains several office complexes in Rockville, Maryland off of Executive Blvd. These offices include Executive Plaza North (EPN), Executive Plaza South (EPS), and others.
